Sciurus vulgaris

Origin: Europe

Lifespan: 7 to 10 years

Reproduction: After 38 days of gestation, the female gives birth from 2 to 5 offsprings, once or twice a year.

Nutrition diet: Granivore (cereals, nuts, acorns…)

Description: Also called a red squirrel, it’s a small diurnal rodent which lives in trees. All you need to do is lift your eyes and be patient, we count around about a dozen in the park and it’s not rare to see them.
