Reproduction : After 130 days of gestation, the female gives birth to 4 to 6 young, twice a year.

Nutrition diet : Herbivore (grass, vegetation, cereals)

Description : Also called the river rat, it is cecotrope, it eats its feces to obtain more nutrients. This aquatic mammal weighs 6kg and 60cm, it has 4 big orangy red incisors. It can build galleries that reach 7 m long which weakens the riversides. It has no predators therefore is overpopulated in some areas and eradiction mesures must be taken.
