Lifespan: 20 to 30 years

Reproduction: Females (pens) lay 5 to 6 eggs and incubate for 35 to 45 days.

Nutrition diet: Mostly vegetarian (water plants, cereals, grass and small slugs)

Description: Couples generally stay together for all their life, the female usually makes a big nest but both help during the incubation period. The young (cygnets) ride on their parents back when entering deep water, they will start flying at 5 or 6 months of age. The swan whistles and trumpets.
